Gwin’s Lodge is an Alaskan institution beloved by many generations of Alaskans and tourists from all over the world. We strive to provide our customers superior hospitality, food, and service. Gwin’s Lodge features a full-service restaurant, a tackle and gift shop that also contains a liquor store, and seventeen rental cabin and chalet units.
Cooper Landing is a great place to spend your summers! Gwin's Lodge is located directly across the street from the beautiful Kenai River with a backdrop of the mountains behind you. The people in Cooper Landing are friendly, outdoors loving people who are passionate about Alaska and enjoying it.

Mission Statement:
Gwin’s Lodge is dedicated to provide the highest level of hospitality, accommodations, products, and services at a convenient central Kenai Peninsula location.
-Housing-
Housing is provided for staff on site. There are four shared bathrooms with showers along with an employee lounge complete with a TV, couches, WiFi, and a kitchen for our employees to use. All accommodations come with some form of heating and fan, electricity, bedding, and storage space. Upon hiring you will be required to pay a housing deposit to hold your spot that is refundable as long as you leave your room clean and in good terms.
There are two different employee room & board packages are available:
1- Shared Cabin- Duplex housing units, two people per unit. They are equipped with two twin beds or double beds (for couples.)The rate is $12/day per employee and will be taken from your paycheck.
2- Wall-Tent Housing- units for one person with a twin bed. The rate is $10/day.

-Perks-
The Kenai Peninsula offers countless opportunities for outdoor fun. There are miles of well-maintained hiking and biking trails near Gwin’s Lodge. In addition to world-class fishing and outdoor activities.
Employees receive one complimentary shift meal every day they work. In addition, they receive 20% off all additional restaurant food and goods from the tackle shop (excluding alcohol.)
Employees are eligible to receive two free work shirts from our shop along with a Gwin's Lodge hat. All additional work shirts must be purchased at the discounted 20% rate.
We organize complimentary or reduced-cost tours across the Kenai Peninsula for our employees such as the ones found HERE.
Trapper’s Creek Smoking Company will smoke 20 pounds of fish that they catch, per employee- at no cost.
Employees get free entrance into our Summer Concerts on site.
The ideal Gwin’s Lodge employee possesses the following characteristics: cheerful, respectful, honesty, and commitment to job responsibilities. Gwin’s Lodge employees are expected to perform in a spirit of friendly cooperation and team work that are essential to a productive environment.
All applicants will be subject to background checks. Employees may be subject to random drug testing during the season. All employees must be at least 18 years old. Our season runs from late-May to mid-September.
Gwin's Lodge employees are encouraged to arrive and move into their designated employee housing at least three days before commencing their work schedule.
