Is Alaska on your Bucket List?
If asked, most of us would answer in the affirmative.
However, the notion of a "bucket list" seems to convey the the thought of "kicking the bucket" or unfinished business. A bucket list is almost synonymous with a wish list, something that is not attainable in this life time. So those wishes on the bucket list get put off year after year, until one day it may be too late. Don't let Alaska be one of those things you put off, because you will be glad you have fulfilled it!
Alaska is a state full of outdoor beauty, and exploring the outdoors requires at least some physical strength and stamina. Many trails lead to high vantage points with breathtaking views. Hiking these trails may require a couple of hours of uphill climb. Want to fish from the banks of the Kenai River? That may require walking some distance to the spot carrying gear and equipment. Want to go see the bears in Katmai National Park? That may require walking over uneven terrain. So don't wait too long to see Alaska. Come North while you are fit and healthy so that you can fully take advantage of everything Alaska has to offer. So check Alaska off of your bucket list and don't wait any longer!
Some people visit once and come back every year. Give yourself the gift of time in Alaska. You won't regret it!
